My name is Brandon May, and I am a Dallas Mavericks fan. You can call me The Dude. Actually, you can call me whatever you're most comfortable with, just don't call me a Mavs bandwagon jumper.
During the Mavs playoff run of the 2005-06 season, I began chronicling my thoughts after each game in an email I titled 3 Cheers. What started off as a small group of recipients grew to numbers I was unaware of until the Mavs unfortunately bowed out in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. With popularity at an all time high and not wanting these fine people to go into massive 3 Cheers withdrawals, I decided to start this blog. The main purpose of this blog is to express the emotional roller coaster that is my life as an obsessive Mavs fan and hopefully win over new Mavs fans in the process. It is also to give me an outlet to rant and rave so that my wife doesn't have to listen to it if she doesn't want to. Yes, The Dude is married. Sorry, ladies.
So enjoy the posts, and feel free to reply. I would love to hear from you, but keep it clean. My Gramma reads this site, too, and I don't want to offend her even if she is a Spurs fan. You can subscribe to the blog and receive email updates whenever a new post arrives. Thanks for reading, and GO MAVS!
Disclaimer: I am not a journalist. I do not have a press pass. I watch the games, make notes, read the papers for statistics, and then give my opinion. I am a 100% biased Mavs fan that can't be convinced otherwise. If you are looking for balanced, professional reporting, you've come to the wrong place.
